Beertown 2002

Location : - Park Farm, Castle Donnington

Organisers : - Beertown Bikers

Below is a picture of some of the mad crew who turned out for the Beertown do. As you can see a damned good time was had by all. The weather held off for us, and the night wasn't too cold. Or was I just numb from the earlier excesses of merriment?

The site Park farm now only hosts one rally a year, this one. This is largely due to the family atmosphere and general good spirit that event has. Plus the Beertown lads and lasses are a good old bunch of party loving bikers.

Whilst I will no doubt regret publishing this picture it is only right I have a dig at myself every now and again. The worst thing about me exiting the Ladies (apart from some smart arse standing outside with a camera) is the fact I'd only had two cans at this point. Yep things started badly for me. A special thanks must go to Andy for being in the right place at the wrong time.

Here's the back of the club T shirts. Order yours now! Modelled by the delectable Andy Knife and the graceful Andy Potato (More about this later)

It has to be said that no can say Andy's T shirt is not a Łuckin$ good T shirt. Modelling could be his third job (His second being a double for Metalica's lead singer)

On the non 13 front there was a large array of machines Monkey bikes to reliant trikes. Harleys to bantams. Every bike was entered to be judged for various categories.

Two club members won trophies. Dave for Best Jap and Rod for Furthest travelled. Below are the to guy's and pictures of their machines. Daves being the green one and Rod's the red one.

Okay Andy potato potato M. Despite catching me out with his version of you've been framed, he also let me down by turning up minus four cylinders. Worse than that he was on a godammed V twin. Whilst I may sound bitter and twisted with jealousy I'm not. Honest. Why should I be jealous of a guy with a 13, a ZXR1100, a Plymouth Cruiser and now a 1340 Harley Fat boy. He picked it up this week and this was it's first airing, note the real big smug look on his face...

It'll never replace the 13.

But it'll be a fun diversion from time to time.

The owners club private bar.

You know the feeling you get after 4 or 5 can's. You just need something to soak up some of the alcohol that's sloshing around inside you. Well I got the munchies and was gutted to be handed this the worst every rally burger on the face of the planet. It took two bites to find burger. I had to follow it up with two hot dogs.

Somewhere we all started to loose the plot. After quite a few this looked like a piece from the Tate Gallery.

The weekend was a great success, thanks to the Beertown crew for entertaining us and giving us reason to party. Thanks to everyone who turned up and had a good old knees up.

If you didn't or couldn't make it don't worry there will be others. So we'll see you another time.
