Daves 13 300BHP
![]()
Dave has sent the story that follows, but I have to say I've met this guy and he's not a psycho with a death wish. Just goes to show looks can be deceiving and what a naff judge of character I can be. So let the story unfold...
Once upon a time...

New solid output shaft and 5th gear with 1-1 ratio made in Liverpool. Centrifugal lock up clutch and cover spacer, plus nitrous injector plate, mikuni HSR 42 turbo carb by debben Kawasaki in Ringwood Hants also manual cam chain tensioner. Carrillo rods and tech help from bike wiz kid Ashwin Zala in Basildon.

Exhaust pipe work and silencer by Mark Hill performance. Air brushed art work by Brian at fantasy art work at Watford. All billet items machined up to Daves spec at Pretech engineers in Reading.

Carb fuelling set up by Keith and Andy at dynotec, Bramley Basingstoke.

To date the motors been run 4 hours and all seems well, but new valve stem seals failed so had to be replaced along with one off lazer cut copper head gasket, wound motor up gently in 5th gear and she's putting out 208bhp and 144ftlb torque, which was enough to snap the rear engine mount bolt, which has been replaced with a one off en80 machined item, as has cyl head studs.

Barrels are 'o' ringed to seal compression, pistons are held by Teflon buttons etc etc. Just have to reassemble top end and sort out hydraulic clutch lifter and she'll be ready to rumble.

Once she's finished I'll dyno her again with the nitrous activated. She should be putting out approx 290-300 bhp by then. Here's hoping.

I'll let you know how it goes .

And just know this story will run a little longer, can't wait to find out how she run's.
