Fat Ass

Hi Dread,

Sorry for the delay in sending this, but here is a shortened list of the

mods and a few pics,

a) Frame cut in half and widened - (in all the right places).

b) Swing arm cut in half and widened.

c) Monoshock conversion - (from a '83 GPZ11).

d) Dual rear brake callipers & custom hoses.

e) Rear subframe rebuilt and shortened.

f) Custom fabricated tail piece (to look original)

g) Custom seat.

h) Airbox removed and modified K&N filters fitted.

i) Rear rim custom made to take the Avon 330-30-17"

The rim is made up of four 17" rims:-

2 x Z1300 rims modified so that the diff and brake callipers are

25mm 'deeper' than standard.

2 x 17" rims with 'spokes' machined out - these two are used for

spacers in between the Z1300 rims.

       The rim is bolted together.

j) Standard drive shaft - (only modified a little!!)

k) The 'six into one' Cowley would not fit due to the monoshock conversion,

so this was modified and is now a 3 into1 - 3 into1 set up with slash cuts.

Where possible only Z1300 parts, except for the monoshock and the two 17"

spacer rims, were used.

The overall aim of the project was to keep the '13 looking as standard as

possible despite being heavily modified.

Did I succeed???

I am currently toying with the idea of fitting a wider front - maybe a 180

or a 200 or bigger??- and giving the front end a cleaner look by removing or

hiding the cables and wires.

I hope you enjoy "Fat Ass" as much as we do.

LOL
