Fuel Tap

Pic 1 Shows the component parts when you disassemble the fuel tap.
Arrow 1 is the screw that bears too heavily into the groove shown by arrow 2.
Pic 2 Apply grease or Vasalene to the O-ring & especially the groove.
Pic 3 To stop the screw bearing so heavily into the groove fit an M4 split washer under the head of the screw as shown in the pic. Remember to push the lever back into the tap body against the spring pressure as you'll damage the groove as you tighten the screw if you don't.
Pic 4 shows the tap re-assembled. I did this mod to my tap about 7 years ago & it's been very easy to operate since.
