Nabbed 12

We've never been here before, it was a nice little run. I got worried when I  realised all the other bikers were going the other way? I guess they were heading to another show. We arrived on Saturday, Pete from Scotland was already set up and we pitched next to him. Pete had come down on the Thursday so he was already in the party spirit. True to form I downed a Caffery's and put the tent up, not easy in gale force winds.

Pete and Linda arrived, they had it all worked out they travelled from Manchester, him on the 13 and Linda in the car. Sorted, gas barbecue, air beds, frame tent, seats, electric pump god what these two didn't have. Oh yeh they didn't have coals for the barby (Doh!) And they provided the afternoons laugh with "how not to erect a tent" They then nipped out to buy coals and more beer, I had realised at the pace Pete from Scotland was drinking I needed more Caffery's.

The photo's above are of the show bikes. I don't know what won coz when your having a good time sometimes things just get a little blurred.

Back to the barbeque... Now Pete and Linda may have been prepared but they too where never prepared. They lit the barby and the heavens opened, no problem it had a lid. The thing was with the lid down and the beer flowing we lost track of time and the food was burned. But we were starving and the beer washed it down well. Oh check the rain in seat.

Must mention the run wot you brung. These guy's (above) had balls, were they riding turbo gsx'x? No were they on nitrous Yamakwakisuki's? No but they had fun! I feel I should mention at this point the rally had one sour point a guy was victim of a trike hitting him. The trike rider was wheelying and lost control and hit a guy sat drinking with his mates. I heard but this may or may not be true that the victim lost part of his face including his ear. This was not part of a stunt show nor was it on the track but in the camping field.

The picture below is...? well sad to say the least. How can anyone ride a 13 and wear a magic roundabout lid? The far right above picture is a fine example of how to load a bike up for a good weekend.

Sunday morning, feeling worst for wear the hero's of the day lit the barbeque and cooked up bacon and sausage. Cool, my stomach settled down soon after. And I must say the food wasn't anywhere near as burnt.

The pictures below show what a damned good time was had by all, I know Pete from Scotland out drank everyone. He was the ultimate party animal.

The final set below are pictures of the various oddities I spotted around the event.

To sum up the event, it wasn't as big as I'd expected and I had to pay for two days (Sat and Sun) when there was nothing happening on Sunday. I know it sounds tight but I'd paid for two days entertainment and that's what I expected. (Nabbed you let me down on this) But forgiving that minor fact it was a great fun and we had a wicked time. It was a true family event with a good mix of things to do.
