I've only just brought this ZG 1300 A3 injection model after owning a Z1300 A1 for 5 years , after adjusting the tappet shims , balancing the injectors, changing the plugs and oil I find that the bike feel slightly quicker than the carb model.

Which is true as the engine power was factory increased by 10 to 130 bhp and with the injection system makes the bike more responsive especially through the gear change with no lag which my last two Z13's seemed to suffer from , it also seems to pull through to the red harder .

Hi Dread
I’ve just go to say "what a fantastic track day I’ve just had" , I went to Caldwell park with the MVowners club today, there were all types of bikes there not just mv's ,being that it was my first track day ever i went out with the "novice" group , MV 750 f4's ,triumph tridents, fire blades. gsxr600's, Ducati 900 's, Bimotas, etc and how do you think the 13 fared against the rest,!!! Well i can honestly say I was riding the bike pretty hard and was hanging off the side of the bike like a madman , I managed to lap a few muppets within 5 laps and had a lap time of 2mins 8 sec's , considering a guy in the advanced group on a trick R1 was getting 1min 49 sec's I didn't think the 13 did bad!! No one got in front of me and for three laps I stayed on the tail of an MV750F4 senna (sickening!) must admit the look on peoples faces in the paddock made an ugly picture! One guy even said (Bimota owner) "I can honestly say I’ve seen nothing like that before didn't you lap me? But then you must know the course very well??" my reply made him feel even more inadequate "no this is my first track day I’ve done!"
The tyres are all burnt at the edges and the brake disks are blue, loads of brake fade but still managed to out brake most, if you know Cadwell there is a rise just before the club house where every one watches from which is ideal for launching the front end up "every lap" the bike even impressed me, only managed to ground the crash bars once each side,
top day out but glad to have the bike home in one piece still
