Squires Cafe 2009

Okay I've got to give a little background here, the guy's in the North complain because most things I organise are down South. Historically we been up North twice before and each time only 1 person turn up. We organised a meet at Lotherton Hall for the VJMC meet but I was at Rock and Blues so wouldn't be attending. No problem though the club can meet without me. However we came home from rock and Blues and thought it's early lets blast up to Lotherton Hall and meet the guys.

We rode up getting there in just over and hour to find we were the only 13 there. To quote another member of the club "I'm starting to feel unwelcome in the North"

Because the Lotherton Hall meet was the meet that never happened the guy's said lets try again. Being a sucker for punishment I thought I'd humour them knowing I'd be the only 13 when I got there again. This time we chose Squires Cafe and I asked a couple of friends along so I wouldn't be Billy no mates.

The weather was awesome 27 degrees with no rain at all so I figured there was a chance someone would show up. The ride was great for us straight there with no issues. (apart from my sunglasses breaking! ) We pulled into the car park which was heaving with bikes and I couldn't believe my eyes, not 1 but 2 mighty 13's. I rode down to them making it 18 cylinders. A little later Pete F pulled in making it an unprecedented 4 13's.

Thanks to everyone who came, hopefully we'll be able to get even more together for the next Northern meet. Hopefully we've started something to rival the Southern guy's get togethers.
