The Classic Motorcycles Mechanics Show
Stafford County Showground
Stafford.
Since the last show the club come quite a long way, you guy's have got more actively involved. You've supported rallies and meets you've been very active on the message board and sent me thousands of pictures of your bikes and modifications to your bikes. I think all this reflected in the stand and your turn out to the show. More than half the club came to visit Stafford, I hope this was because we where there as well as it being a damned good event on it's own.
As you can see from the photo's above the standard of all the bikes was very high. We had a wide range of 13's for you to see from Tim's terrific touring model to Z1300A1's right through to ZG's. We also had 3 specials and they where each very different showing the creative flare that we have in the club.
Damian travelled across from the emerald isle to show us his streetfighter come Lawson rep. He's widened the back wheel (Himself) stretched the swing arm 3 inches (again his own work) and altered the rake to make it steer quicker. I guess at this point I have to say he rode his bike to the show, a point that he'll probably never let any of the other guy's forget. Good on ya Damian.
We stayed at several B+B's around Stafford as there wasn't one big enough for us all to descend on. The pictures below are Longden Old Hall Farm where 12 of us stayed and it has to be said it was great and we'd go back.
A big part of come to the show is the social life a during the evening and I guess we as a club have a reputation for downing the odd pint here and there.
Doug Hacking sponsored us a trophy for best exhibitors bike this was decided by club members voting for their favourite bike. There was a clear winner and he'll get to keep the Trophy for a year until the next show. Dave Needham was a deserved winner with his beautiful A3. Below is a picture of me presenting Dave with the trophy.
But not only did you guy's like his machine the judges at the show gave it a highly commended award.
The rest of the show then...well to be honest I did get much of a look around so theirs only a few pictures.
This machine below is a 48 cylinder KH? Don't ask why, although my answer would be why not.
