Stormin The Castle 2007

How do I start this one.... Okay with the ride there, 43 kilometer of traffic jam of the M1 meant a slow start so the journey was longer than it need be. Mind you after Sheffield I did open her up a little but within the boundaries of all laws and regulations that applied to each road honest...Lol
As you can see from the above artistic photo the venue was fantastic, the weather was really good too and it was cheap. The northern guy's have got it quite good you know.
Okay I'm going to eat humble pie here. See the pictures below. The one on the left is where the Legendary Pete Finn parked his chop. It's the place the bike stood for two days. This is the place the Z1300 guru had left his bike when he fetched me beer. (Nice man). This very spot is where crowds of people gathered and pointed and admired 2 years of work. You see this spot, I'm talking about the picture on the left, is where I, yes I, not Pete or anyone else made a fatal mistake. This is the spot I forgot to photograph Pete's bike. Here come the excuses, I should have been blond, I was so over whelmed to finally meet a living legend, I have a brain the size of a sparrow. But with the wonders of modern technology I have tried to recreate the scene on the right. The picture should have looked like this.

As a wise man said it gives me a good reason to go back up north.
Below are some pictures of the castle and the party revellers.
Whilst looking around the show bikes I spotted this note on a bike
And he did
I really like the detail on this chopper.
Just look at the paintwork and fur on these machines...
These are the rest of the great bikes that were on show.
Evil Kinevil bike.
????
Okay the 13 bit. Sparky came all the way down from Scotland on his 13 see below.
Spotted this bike in the show but never found the owner? Its a little unusual.
Then there's Pete's oh sorry I forgot to take a picture.
Okay here's mine and I did remember to take pictures of mine. In the end I put it into the show.
I parked it took these three pictures then went and sat down in the sun to drink beer. I looked around and couldn't see my 13 see below
It's nice to see even after 28 years, ten years of me abusing it the old gal still pulls a crowd.
Here are the show winners...I didn't win anything...boohoo!
Now I haven't focused on my own view of this rally...it was amazing. A nice distance to ride too, ran by great staff, great location, cheap booze and grub and not to miss out the entertainment the bands weren't bad either. If you've not been give it a go. I'll be there next year....and the year after...and the year after.
