Tasmania

Hey Dread

I thought you might be interested in these photos of my ZG1300 towing a trailer with a Benelli 6 on it. I transported the Benelli for about 400km like that. The old Z13 hardly raised a sweat. Feel free to post them on your "Australia" page.

I have a bunch of classic Italian bikes because for all their foibles and idiosyncrasies, I love them. I have a Z13 because it's a great bike, reliable and strong (as the photos attest), and would take me around the world tomorrow if asked it to.

Cheers,
Cam Douglas

I just thought I'd send you a photo of my old Z13 taken just before the

> start of the Hobart "Toy Run" last weekend. Note my token efforts to tart

> the bike up for the occasion - crappy tinsel decoration, auxiliary

> aero-engine on sidecar, canine co-pilot (in the sidecar, not the fluffy

> toy strapped onto the front!), and partner Joanna avoiding the camera by

> leaning on the grab-rail with her back to the bike.

>

> For those outside Australia - The Toy Run is a Christmas charity event

> organised by the Motorcycle Riders Association in each Aussie state to

> gather toys and other stuff for under-priveliged kids - and do a bit of

> positive PR for motorcyclists into the bargain. We had around 8000

> riders/passengers turn up for the Hobart run this year on about 5000

> bikes. Along with Toy Runs in other Australian states, these events

> probably rank among the biggest regular mass bike ride events in the

> world. Have a look at this comment from a pommy visitor last year -
