Airmans Rest 2001

Before I tell you about the event I have to tell you how damned hard it was to find. I came across half a dozen needles in the hay stack before I found this place. I pulled into a McDonalds and walked up to a fellow biker who before I spoke said " I know what your going to ask I haven't a clue where it is?" Two minutes latter we where joined by another lost soul. To cut a long story short we phoned someone who was their and he came and fetched us. Cheers bro.
As you can see from the pictures the standard of bikes was awesome, which is a lot more than can be said for the beer ! It was roasting hot, the queue at the bar was ten deep so I ordered two pints for myself to save going back a few minutes later. I drank one because I was so dehydrated and chucked the other it was foul.
Being a 13 rider I envy big fat back tyres: - The shaft won't allow anything much bigger than a 150, just look at the size of the tyres on the bikes pictured above. Yep I'm green with envy.
The red chop above is amazing in several respects; 1) It look smart and 2)It was a super dream? Never have I ever seen a super dream chop. But hats of to the guy it looked very tidy and the engine looked the part.
The show was an excellent day out, the beer was naff, parking tight but all in all it was a relaxed day with fine machine everywhere.
