We had just brought the Z1300 a couple of days before we were due to go out to south Wales for this bash. Kip who sold us this bike assured us the Zed would not let us down. So we set off fingers crossed not sure of the Zeds reliability. Below is a picture of the bare essentials Sandra needed to take.

I know the Zed was built for touring but I'm sure she was taking the mickey.

As coincidences would have it half way we stopped in a service station for coffee only to pull up next to a chop and a Virago. The Virago being ridden by Kip who we got the Zed off and Gunny one of his mates. Coincidence didn't stop here, we were all crewing for the same guy on the drag strip when we got there, so rode together the rest of the way.

The gig was great, a mix of racing and custom show. The racing was organized by the Super twins Association who ran this very smoothly with some interesting run wot brung match ups. V Max's generally getting the better of most challengers. This did surprise me!

Below are some thumbnails of the event...

The weather was not exactly sunny for which I've never been forgiven. It was bloody cold at night and the ride home was wet until we got back over the boarder. I also realized on this trip the 13 was going to be expensive to run. But the fun side of it more than makes up for that.
