NEC 2001.

Okay, firstly just to set the scene... I've never been to the Motorbike show at the NEC so I was a little unsure of what I'd find. I expected big halls full of plastic fantastics, well I was right. But there where many very nice retro's, customs and concept bikes slipped in among them.
I wandered for several hours looking at stands and stalls ( I brought nothing in true tight pocketed fashion.) The one big surprise was which stand was the most popular. Being a hardened Kawasaki man I of course expected the Kawasaki stand to be heaving. It was, however no where near as popular as the soon to be mentioned stand. Living through the 80's and early 90's it could easily have been the Yamaha stand ( Rd Lc's etc). I've always loved and trusted Yamaha's. But no... Harley had a big presence but it wasn't them either.
Now you have to realise as an 80/90's rider it comes as a shock to me that Honda (remember oil feed problems and soft cam shafts) had the most popular stand. Yep I know I'm behind the times. I ride the 80's superbike don't I? I know they had a revival with the blade but hasn't that fizzled out? Well the biking public seemed to love what ever it is Honda have.
Below are a selection of the weird and wonderful the manufacturers have to offer us this year. Enjoy... But remember this is only a my favorites.
