This was my first Rock and Bike Festival and the 3rd to be held. When I pulled up at the gates all I could see was a field of ruddy festival goer types, caravans motor homes and car's. I thought friggin' 'el what have I done. I said to a rather big chap on the gate where are all the bikers and much to my relief they were in a bike only field. Thank God! I've said it before and no doubt I will rattle on about bike events being for bikers not friggin green wellie cardigan wearing mid life crisis car driving ex hippies. Okay rant over with for now! On with the event it was truly fantastic, great bands great atmosphere (except the green wellie...) well organised, in short I'm more than sure we'll be back next year.
Above left is bike field above right...not. Now I'm sure I just have old fashioned ideas and should embrace the apparent destiny of bike events but part of why I'm a biker is to stay away from the Mr and Mr's 2.4 children and there green or otherwise coloured wellies. Lol

I know I've banged on about the festival goers but hey I bought tickets for something called a Festival so what should I expect but forgetting my obvious predigests the show was amazing. Both days had fantastic bands, On the Friday night T Rex played and I would rank them as one of if not the best rally band I have ever seen. The supporting act bands were great to I think there was 14 bands in all on Friday. We saw only a few, Motokill, Guns 4 Hires and AC/DC UK and these were all cool.
Saturday night saw what I thought would be impossible to follow night get bettered The Vampire Rocks Show with Toyah. The show was a Rocky Horror type rock theatre with some awesome covers especially those performed by Steve Stienman. The show was sexy, daring, funny and most of all truly gripping. 10/10
Toyah also belted out some fantastic lyrics as did the supporting cast. Saturday saw 9 bands, again we didn't see them all but Verbal Warning, The Ramona's and Stone were great. There was one band who weren't so good and that was ZZ Hot a ZZ Top cover group with badly stuck on beards but hey ever other band we saw were good and ZZ Hot gave us chance to look around the stalls and buy and drink more beer.
Below are a collection of shots from around the show of some of the characters who attended.

Before I finish I should say my bike was runner up in best jap so a massive thank you to the organisers this made my weekend. It's the first prize I have won this year. Cheers.
A great show, bikers add it to your calendar others go to V or Glastonbury and leave us alone. A massive thumbs up from us we had a great time the organisers really deserve a pint or two for making the weekend such a success. This event will become one of the major rallies of the future.
