rock and blues 1997
This was our first year going to rallies. Mega is a understatement, what a well run entertainment packed weekend. Well done to the organizers, the general public and the locals who made us all feel welcome.
The Location: -Pentrich Showground, Pentrich, Nr Ripley, Derbyshire.
The Organisers: -Outlaws MC Derbyshire Chapter.
The Music: - Jethro Tull were amazing, a very tight band as you would expect from this aging group. Now I had heard of them but wouldn't ever have been able to name a track (being to young you see) but even us teenyboppers found the entertaining. Lime house Lizzy were excellent, I'm A Thin Lizzy fan and thought they were a good tribute band. AB\CD were as ever the band that rocked us all, they played everyone's favorites and really contributed to making this a good gig. There was a special guest and I cannot remember his name, he was the fat lad out of the commitments and he new how to party fulfilling the special guest role with out a doubt.
The Weather: - A good year especially as this was our first bike fest and Sandra's first camping experience. (we only had a two man ridge tent.)
