ROCK AND BLUES 2000
![]()
The Location: - Pentrich Showground, Pentrich, Nr Ripley, Derbyshire.
The Organisers: - Outlaws MC Derbyshire Chapter.
The Music: - Well I wouldn't listen to thing I say, it's a taste thing. In 1998 I didn't like the Levellers and the millennium didn't change a thing. Dr Feelgood didn't ? I sound like a right boring old git. One band did do it for me "The Climax Blues Band" were fantastic and I'll be looking out for any cd's they may have released. I'm sure of one thing and that is we will see more of "The Impotent Sea Snakes" shock rock was how they were described and that is an understatement. The strippers (nice girls) had a very hard act to follow after this crew. And last but not least Motorhead, in the 80's I saw them get canned off stage because they were that bad, I guess either we've grown to love Lemmy or the rest of the line up was that bad that they seemed pretty good.
The Weather: - "The sun shone on the righteous" It rained all around us but baked in Pentrich. I don't know what price the Outlaws paid to the Gods but I can tell you it was worth every penny.
From my whining about the music you may think I had a naff old weekend. But far from it. It was one of the best Rock and Blues I've been to. I and many others had way too much to drink but the heat just gave me a thirst! (One other moan guy's:-Where were all the loo's? Not many this year. Sandra my other half was not impressed by this.)
Below are some pictures of you...Fellow bikers and alcoholics who enjoyed every minute of the weekend.
Never to young. Nice shorts. Strange hat.
The pictures below are the bikes that you rode to Rock and Blues, the bikes you cherish. Some very fine examples of what our way of life is about.
This section is dedicated to the fine artwork on some of the machines...
